Jean-Paul Gaultier design for GIBO, an Italian clothing manufacturer founded in 1962. GIBO was one of the first investors in Jean-Paul Gaultier, funding him in 1981. Although Gaultier started his own label in 1976, GIBO allowed him to start merchandising his designs in a serious way and retained a license for his designs through the 1980s.
