 Self-taught, Jean Francois began to make experimental jewellery for Marc le Bihan in 1991. The collaboration was perfectly matched due to their similar creative philosophies.

Jean clearly takes his inspiration from historic references, and incorporates into his work reclaimed vintage beads and other precious material artifacts. He then reworks the materials and assembles them into refined designs that are reminiscent of antiques but are in fact entirely modern in their final execution.
