Detail: Full length vintage couture Lanvin (Couture No. 13816) evening gown in a delicious shade of mauve. Classic understated chic. Fully lined in satin. Closure via full zip to back with hook and eye to nackline. High waisted, and zips to sleeve cuffs. Soft padded shoulders.

Jeanne-Marie Lanvin was one of the most influential designers of the 1920s and '30s, The use of intricate trimmings, virtuoso embroideries and beaded decorations in clear, light, floral colors became a Lanvin trademark. When Lanvin died in 1946, ownership of the firm was naturally ceded to the designer's daughter, Marguerite di Pietro.
