Pauline Trigère was born in Paris in 1912, immigrating to America in 1937. She designed under the "Trigère" label from 1942. By the 1950s, her label read "Pauline Trigère". Trained as a master cutter; she worked directly on live models to create designs that were known for their sophistication and tailoring; using luxurious fine wools. Designs were elegant, and never over worked with uneccessary detail. Pauline Trigere's career spanned from the 1940s to the 2000s, Remaining active untl her death in 2002. Her work is now highly collectable.
